One of the many perks of being friends with so many of my couples on FB is that not only do I get to keep up with them but I get reminded about anniversaries. This morning I saw Chris post a sweet comment to Kristen and it reminded me of this post Kristen wrote. So I thought I would share it along with some photos… this is why I love my job. Happy Anniversary!
Chris and I have known each other since we were about 19, but have been dating for almost 5 years before we got married. Chris and I were best friends before we were a couple, we love to laugh, socialize and have fun!!! So that was the overwhelming idea that drove us in planning for our big day. I’m not the most organized person in the world, so things just kind of came together and I really tried to sweep any annoying details under the rug.
However, when that day did arrive, oh so did the nerves and the anxiety! Obviously nothing a little champagne and some fun and silly bridesmaids (and moms) couldn’t cure… My hairdresser Jaiden got married at Vintage Villas, so as she was coiffing and curling me that day, I asked her if she had any advice for me. She told me to really soak in that moment, when you are walking down that aisle, really soak it in and enjoy it because it goes by so fast. She was so right…that moment that I stepped out in front of all of my family and friends, and locked eyes with my best friend at the end of the aisle, I knew it was a once in a lifetime moment!
Everything did go by so fast! The entire evening was just such a fun, magic whirlwind in my mind… Of course there were little things that went wrong, but when I look back at my amazing collection of pictures; from my adorable father and I dancing and cracking up together, to Chris looking so handsome and dapper with all of his charismatic groomsmen, to our impromtu wedding cake fight, I just can’t imagine changing a single thing!!!
